Welcome to Denver, "Queen City of the Plains," a name given to the city in 1859 when it was declared the most elegant and largest town in a thousand mile radius. Venturing through the city, visitors will find urban spaces awash with greenery, parks and wide boulevards.

Today, Denver remains elegant as ever, with gleaming glass towers set amidst Rocky Mountains. Denver offers all of the delights of an urban playground with easy access to natural activities like skiing, hiking, rafting and mountain climbing. 1980's TV buffs will also remember the city as the location for Crystal and Alexis's "Dynasty" cat fights, and in 1999, it is the home of the Superbowl winning Broncos.

There are two main gay and lesbian neighborhoods, the Colfax-Capitol Hill area and South Broadway. Within these neighborhoods, a variety of restaurants reflect Denver's diversity. They're home to shops, spas, and bed & breakfasts in restored Victorian settings. Nightlife offers something for everyone from pulsating dance clubs, to cozy neighborhood bars, to leather and Levi saloons, recalling Denver's days as a Wild West outpost.
