BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

Not Recommended, Rating 1 out of 5

I have been traveling to the gay village for five years with my partner and our usual B&B Belles Vues recently closed and we needed a new place to stay. For several years we heard about Hotel Felix and decided to stay there to find our new home away from home! The website does not at all depict this hotel in it's true form. The rooms are ikea furnished with hard beds and we had to request the a/c to be adjusted. The rooms are ok but the walls are paper thin the floors are very old and creek and on our arrival the wireless was down. When I brought this to their attention at first they denied there was a problem and told me it was my iPad which was later proven to be a broken router. On check in we were not greater professionally, in fact they didn't give any information about smoking areas, breakfast times or their house keeping policies. The impression I got from the young Asian workers and older white owner was more of a brothel than a B&B. This However was not the worst as we were traveling with our good friend and he had another room. When we returned Saturday evening around 10 the person at the front desk informed my friend that his room had been changed his stuff removed and placed into a new room!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So yes they entered his room took his stuff and plopped it in a room downstairs next to the enterence which was not as nice not as air conditioned and noisy. In 28 years of travel all over I have never experienced the disrespectfulness and evasive actions of a hotel. They admittedly never informed us of the move nor did they make any attempt to during the previous two nights there. Needless to say I flipped and as a token. Apology they refunded one nights stay. They had no right to do what they did and we will NEVER stay there again and would hope anyone reading this would do the same.... To make matters worse my partner and I were woken up twice at 2am and again at 4am when the person who took our friends room at two was in the hall negotiating with a male escort and again at 4am when he said goodbye. Abbosulty the worst hotel experience of my 45 year life and one that I will not forget. When we left in the morning my friend told me that someone at 2am was in the lobby asking for a room by the hour!!!!!!!! What a joke and a hack of a place BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location

Recommended, Rating 4 out of 5

As far as the location goes you can't beat it. Right on St. Catherine near the - subway and in the heart of the village - its just great. It is clean and the staff is wonderful. Couldn't figure out how to adjust heat and walls could be thicker. But I would stay there again. Nice continental breakfast.

I was in Montreal for the GP Parade and I found this Hotel in the center of the Village to be the BEST accomodations for me with its decor, the most accomodating staff that you will find anywhere, its location, and the most reasonable rates in town..Folks, if you want a reasonable place to stay and right across the street from a Metro station you should take a look here..I will return soon...

Recommending The Hotel Felix

The hotel was still under construction when I last stayed there..The room I stayed in was perfect for me and quite reasonable in price..In the center of the Village the location was perfect for me with the Metro right across the street..The staff was more than accomodating and I can't say enough about nice they were..I will be returning in August and then again in December..I have found a destination in Montreal..
