The Central House restaurant at the Crown & Anchor offers simple, delicious food featuring local, seasonal ingredients in a casual atmosphere. We are proud to serve all of our meat, fish, produce and dairy from sustainable resources, and wherever possible, certified organic, and locally raised.
The Central House puts some interesting twists to New England favorites. The menu reflects a constantly changing seasonal calendar of fruits, vegetables, meats & fish. At lunch try our lobster roll, unique in its lightness, with thick chunks of lobster, heirloom cherry tomatoes, celery leaves and a surprising citrus flavor, served on a toasted brioche roll with peppered fries or steamed edamame. At dinner our entrees’ include an organic grass fed hanger steak or fresh local cod steamed in parchment. The Central House also caters to vegetarians and vegans with a few original dishes.
