The largest helicopter sightseeing and charter service in the Northeast. Liberty Helicopters is currently the only authorized helicopter sightseeing company in New York City. We began in the charter business on April 22, 1986 and added sightseeing tours of New York City on September 6th, 1990. At that time, Liberty had begun an aggressive plan selling in both the domestic and international markets. Liberty Helicopters was not only the first company to operate sightseeing tours from this multi-million dollar facility, but also the first to offer our customers the convenience of two Manhattan locations.

Since opening, Liberty continually receives the annual safety award from the Helicopter Association International. Liberty's pilots receive annual recurrent Eurocopter factory training, specifically the requirement of FAR part 135 air carrier standards. Liberty Helicopters is also one of the founding members of the Tour Operators Program of Safety (TOPS) topsafety.org. This impressive record is in part due to the high caliber of our staff and the reliability of our equipment. All aircraft crews are certified and inspected to meet the demanding standards of the Federal Aviation Administration. We also have a 24-hour, 7 days a week helicopter maintenance department located at our hanger in Linden, N.J.
