For 56 years now, the mission of the Québec Winter Carnival in Collaboration with Loto-Québec has been to organize an annual winter celebration as well as creating a first-rate economic, social and tourism event that all Quebecers could be proud of.
Picture a modern, yet historic city taken over by a music festival and 1.5 million festival-goers. Twelve indoor and outdoor stages, venues where you can gather to celebrate and to discover what's new, on which a string of international superstars - The Black Eyed Peas, Rammstein, Iron Maiden, Plácido Domingo, Sting, Paul McCartney, Charles Aznavour, KISS - along with top new talent play for a full 11 days! In all, more than 1,000 artists and close to 300 shows! Rock, French song, hip-hop, electro, jazz, classical music and world music greats. All this right in the heart of beautiful Quebec City, easily accessible and totally affordable!
Watch as jugglers, acrobats, stilt walkers, and troupes of wacky and wonderful performers captivate crowds in the winding streets of Old Québec! Take the kids to Place de la Famille for family-friendly fun and games all day long. During the Festival, the whole city is celebrating!
The 18th edition of the Loto-Québec International Fireworks Competition will be held at the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency from July 21st to August 8th. Well designed and easy to get to, Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is only ten minutes from Québec City downtown.
Fireworks firms and spectators alike agree that Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is the ideal venue for this dazzling event. Imagine a majestic natural amphitheater formed by a thundering wall of water that tumbles 272 feet into a basin. What a setting! What an atmosphere!
Organized as part of Québec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations in 2008, the New France Festival was first held in 1997 at the behest of the Québec City municipal authorities who were looking to set a historic festival inspired by the lives of the first European settlers against the background of Old Québec. The event was such a success from the start that it quickly became an annual event. A broad range of cultural activities with an arts and entertainment flavor are put on, and such quality content has enabled the festival to become a major event. Just like the enormous popular festivals of the past, the New France Festival is steeped in a fun and celebratory atmosphere that comes from both the planned activities and the extras who work the sites and the streets of Old Québec and quickly spreads to everyone else involved in the festival, bringing the city to life every summer.

We are proud to announce our festival events which include a variety of activities for both young and old. The festival will come alive with Celtic music, dancing, a variety of workshops and activities which will create a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone! The Celtic communities that settled in this area are an important part of Quebec’s heritage. Through their dancing, music and costumes, the Breton, Irish and Scottish communities were able to share their common heritage with all the participants of the Quebec City Celtic Festival. We would like to continue to celebrate and share this rich tradition, again this year !
