Brussels is lively and fast-paced, yet has kept a classical European allure. As the capital of the European Union it offers offers a number of interesting places to visit for it history, terrific food and good quality museums.The Grand Palace is thought to be one of the most gorgeous in Europe, and there is the famous "Manneken Pis" - peeing little boy fountain. Brussels has an excellent airport, but is also accessible by train or bus from other European cities, such as Paris or Amsterdam. There is also an excellent transit system that includes metro, trams and buses.

Brussels celebrates gay and lesbian culture through a range of artistic media at the Botanique. The annual Gay and Lesbian Film Festival includes unpublished feature films, reissues, documentaries, short films and an exhibition of photographs and paintings. One of the principle aims of the festival is to promote a positive portrayal of homosexuality in Belgian culture. Further entertainment includes fashion shows, concerts and even karaoke parties!

Mostly taking place during the month of May, the Pride is for lots of people not only a festive event, but foremost a political statement, as it offers a platform to put our legal claims in the spotlight.
