One of the first things you'll notice about Seattle is that no matter where you are, you'll find a spectacular view. Snow-capped mountains, sparkling waters and lush, green forests surround this "Emerald City," located between the salt waters of Puget Sound and the fresh-water Lake Washington. Probably the best way to begin discovering all Seattle has to offer is with a visit to the 605-foot high Space Needle observation deck. A left-over from the 1962 World's Fair, from this landmark you'll breathe in a 360-degree view of the city and beyond; a downtown skyline boasting one of the tallest buildings west of the Mississippi; the seven hills upon which the city is built; the shimmering waters of Elliott Bay.

It’s Seattle’s traditional summer festival. A month-long, region-wide barbecue, that brings an entire community together in celebration. For 59 years Seafair has been about community events, parades, Miss Seafair, the Navy and Coast Guard, amateur athletics, airplanes and of course, boat racing. But most of all, Seafair has been about people and it continues to be.
Located on the Bremerton Boardwalk in the heart of downtown the Bremerton Blackberry Festival draws over 50,000 people from around the country.
The Seattle area local group PAPER will be participating in the Aki Matsuri by teaching, demonstrating and exhibiting origami. The event will be held at the Bellevue Community College in Bellevue, Washington. For more information, please visit: www.enma.org.
The Winter Beer Festival will showcase a variety of winter seasonals from over 30 WA breweries that will keep you warm and joyful this holiday season. Beer lineup will include dark malty stouts, robust winter warmers, barrel-aged gems, spiced, bubbly and roasty brews. Popular Vintage Beer Tasting will also return with some of Washington’s favorite winter beers from a few years back.
