With an average of some 360 days of sunshine each year, St. Petersburg is nicknamed "The Sunshine City." The remarkable weather combined with shopping and fine dining makes the city a popular tourist destination all year long. One of the best aspects of area is the diversity of its neighborhoods. The Grand Central District is quickly becoming a predominately gay and gay friendly business district that has many galleries, antique stores, unique retail stores and an assortment of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. St. Petersburg is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Pride is a month of events culminating in the Street Festival and Promenade.
PROMENADE: It covers from 20th St. to 28th St. in the Grand Central District. The diverse GLBT community, including our allies, local politicians and businesses enjoy a fun-filled day packed with food, sun dancing and enjoying community.
STREET FESTIVAL: The Street Festival takes place every year in the Grand Central district and last year was attended by over 85,000 people. 21st to 28th St. of Central Avenue.
You can't have pride without a pride parade! This celebration will be full of wonderfully creative, somewhat exotic, and always exciting GLBTQ themed floats, entertainers, and friendly political leaders generated by locally supportive organizations and business. This public celebration of our GLBTQ Pride assembles in the Staging Area on 31st Street N and 3rd Avenue N in St. Petersburg, the parking lot across from Georgie’s Alibi. The journey begins from the staging area and makes its way towards The Street Festival where the party is centrally located and in full swing.
