For over twenty years Key West has welcomed women from all over the globe to Womenfest Key West, the southernmost party for lesbians and their friends. Womenfest offers a wide range of activities guaranteed to appeal to a broad range of interests. Raucous clothing-optional pool parties, a sizzling dance club scene, sexy & competitive bull riding, and women-only water excursions promise to pique the interest of the more adventurous while film, live music, and comedy offer the opportunity to enjoy paradise at a slower pace. Traditionally October has been a slow time for tourism in the Keys, but since its inception, Fantasy Fest® has continually boosted the economy by filling up hotel rooms and inundating local businesses, restaurants, and bars during this time period. The tremendous influx of visitors during the ten days of the festival sustains the local economy until the holiday season begins. Fantasy Fest is committed to extending the time that visitors stay by encouraging the creation of diverse events throughout the entire ten days. The opportunity to show off the imaginative and resourceful spirit that defines the Keys excites participants as well as the thousands that are drawn to the Keys.
Key West has been historically known as "Bone Island" for over two centuries, and Bone Island Bare It All Weekend gives that name a whole new meaning.
Two weekends each year, hundreds of gay naturists and guys who like to get naked fill up Key West's clothing-optional gay guesthouses. Featured events include dance parties, foam parties, pool parties, naked shopping, and the playful 'Bad Boys' party. Check your clothing at the doors of Key West's famous gay bars, or arrive in the naked shuttle. Play in the video room, or hang out in the pool.
The annual lowering of the red high heel shoe attracted the attention of CNN and has made Key West one of the top places in the world to ring in the New Year. As an alternative to shivering in Times Square, join the jubilant crowd around the 700 block of Duval Street gather in shorts - or even less! Watch Key West's famous drag queen Sushi descend in the giant high heel shoe from the top of Bourbon Street Pub to the street below during the countdown.

Sculpture Key West offers a dynamic and significant platform for contemporary sculpture. The exhibit is designed to inspire and educate the community of the Florida Keys and its visitors while offering opportunities for emerging and established artists.
The Key West Craft Show is a two day juried outdoor craft festival. This nationally recognized Craft Show brings over 100 fine and skilled craft artists to this beautiful historic area of Key West. Exhibitors will set up along Whitehead Street from Greene Street to Eaton, and on Caroline Street through the famous Presidential Gates into the beautiful Truman Annex. Set among historical attractions such as Audubon House, the Little White House and Mel Fisher Museum, the City of Key West closes two blocks of Whitehead Street and another block of Caroline Street to vehicle traffic for the show. Visitors can leisurely browse the beautiful displays of pottery, fabric, glass, wood, jewelry and other colorful handmade works by the selected artists.
Key West Gay Spring Break is the world's premier GLBT spring break event! From late Feb. to early April, GLBT students & their friends from around the world will converge on the beaches and in the streets of US's Southernmost City to celebrate spring break in a place that embraces individuality, diversity, and openness.
The Kelly McGillis Classic offers women's flag football teams from across the U.S., and nine other countries who will attend, competition in a variety of skill levels: Highly Competitive, Competitive, Beginner, Over Forty, to provide your team fun, fair and healthy competition . We also offer individual players the chance to play on our "Loose Women's Team". Kelly McGillis herself attends and endorses the annual event. Join us for our 20th anniversary as over 50 teams pack the island of Key West to compete in this great week long event.

Tour elegant and unique homes of Key West. Proceeds help benefit the Old Island Restoration Foundation.
This nationally recognized event attracts fine artists from across the country. Exhibitors include painters, sculptors, photographers, collage artists and other non-functional fine art. Reports from the 2009 show exhibitors were positive and they were pleased with the number of buyers.
