The 2009 season kicks off with the Opening Gala and Headliner Huey Lewis and The News who have been defying the rock oddsmakers for over two decades. Divers/Cité is a LGBT event whose mission is to present and promote arts and music illustrating and celebrating the value of diversity in a spirit of sharing, solidarity and openness with the world. 17 years of constant growth and expansion has established Divers/Cité as an internationally recognized festival with a loyal following.

The Calgary Fringe Festival runs in the heart of Calgary's cultural corridor - 17th Avenue. This non-juried, uncensored artistic event will feature raw and innovative local, national, and international theatrical productions alongside street performers, musicians, film and outdoor stage events. The Calgary Fringe Festival will host indoor theatre productions, film entries, touring street performers, and musicians and musical acts.

The Family Equality Council works to ensure equality for LGBT families by building community, changing hearts and minds, and advancing social justice for all families.

Since 1999, when an Arabian tent city arose like an oasis along the shoreline of Fire Island, Pines Party has become an annual tradition that has evolved into a weekend-long event. More than just an all-night dance, Pines Party is the community’s premier annual fundraising event, providing grants for two essential beneficiaries: the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association Charitable Foundation. Pines Party is very much a community-wide affair. Local builders donate their manpower and expertise to help construct a canopied dance floor, sponsor tents, restroom facilities, the main stage, a side lounge, bars, etc., while Pines residents bring their artistic sensibility, professional know-how and connections to bear on the design, personnel, planning and promotion. Pines Party has become a world-class event that attracts partygoers from around the world, as well as the support of major corporate sponsors.

Three Cruises, two days. Pride Cruises include dinner and are 4 hours. The MV Princess hosts the Denim & Leather Cruise which accommodates 500 passengers. The MV Britannia hosts the Go-Go Cruise. And last, but certainly not least, our Party Cruise on Monday, August 4th, aboard the MV Britannia which accommodates 500 passengers.

Toronto's Festival of Beer at the 18th-century castle Fort York offers enthusiasts the opportunity to sample more than 200 different brews. Visitors to the festival can enjoy the impressive backdrop as they work their way amongst the numerous brewery stands offering everything from the palest pilsners to the deepest stouts. Food comes from various restaurants on the premises and there is live music throughout. Other attractions include brewing and cooking demonstrations and guest speakers.

New England’s largest film festival, FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is known for innovative programming, gala celebrations, premiere screenings and VIP guests. The Festival draws hundreds of independent filmmakers from around the globe in a weeklong extravaganza screening a record 175 films. RIIFF is also one of only a handful of festivals worldwide that is a qualifying event for the Academy Awards (i.e. “Oscars.)

Feature film premieres and innovative short films, including acclaimed new independent pieces from across North America, Europe and Asia are what make this festival unique from all others. After Dark hosts a widely popular zombie walk that transforms downtown Toronto into a terrifying wasteland of the undead, as well as a pair of gala parties that promise exciting prizes to lucky audience members.

In The Life Atlanta (ITLA) is the official organizer of Atlanta Black Gay Pride, now the world largest pride celebration for African American lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Our mission is to promote unity, pride, self-empowerment, and positive visibility within Atlanta's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender community of African descent through education, advocacy, and coalition building programs.

The Philly Fringe is our "unfiltered" festival, where new and established artists of all kinds may choose to present their own work, free of a selection process. Most Philly Fringe artists live and work in Philadelphia. How many Philly Fringe productions will appear in the 2010 Festival remains to be seen - we won't find out for sure until June when final participation is confirmed.

The infamous, dark and nasty Official Dance event of Folsom Street Fair returns.

One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer within their lifetime, and the LGBT community is affected disproportionately by lung cancer, rectal cancer, and cervical cancer. The money raised through Relay For Life saves lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, advocacy efforts, patient services, early detection and prevention education. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

AIDS Walk San Diego is San Diego's largest one-day HIV/AIDS fundraiser and the biggest non-governmental financial provider for HIV/AIDS in San Diego County. Dozens of agencies -- serving thousands of clients -- rely on funds raised at the annual AIDS Walk to help provide essential prevention and care programs to thousands of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.

To celebrate gay history this October, Equality Forum selected 31 GLBT leaders, one for each day of the month. They chose individuals living or dead, who have distinguished themselves within their field of endeavor, as national heroes, or in the GLBT civil rights movement.
The goal of GLBT History Month is to teach gay history, to provide inspiring role models, and to highlight important worldwide contributions by gay people. Even though medical advancements have changed AIDS from a death sentence to a chronic disease, we are still without a vaccine or a cure. With this, the need for sound and effective HIV/AIDS prevention, service, and policy programs are more critical than ever before.

This outdoor street festival held in Baltimore's original deep water seaport, Fell's Point. The festival was originally started as a way to raise funds and draw attention to Fell's Point when the area was slated for demolition due to highway construction. The Fell's Point Fun Festival continues that tradition, showcasing historic Fell's Point, it's businesses, its charming 18th and 19th century residences, and Baltimore City life.

The mission of the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is to showcase a selection of compelling film and video by, for or about the GLBT community that entertains, enlightens and celebrates the Festival audience.

Outoberfest is a relaxed block party celebrating the arrival of fall and Naitonal Coming Out Month (October). Local businesses, community groups, schools and universities are all represented. During the festivities, the GLCCB will be open for information and a special exhibit featuring Baltimore's own LGBT community builders.

The City’s original and longest-running contemporary art fair will celebrate its 21st edition this year. As anchor of the Midtown Arts District and Miami Art Week, Art Miami’s longevity and success position it as one of the year’s most prestigious are world happenings. The Fair will showcase a wide variety of art from 100 international contemporary art galleries and prominent institutions.

Key West has been historically known as "Bone Island" for over two centuries, and Bone Island Bare It All Weekend gives that name a whole new meaning.
Two weekends each year, hundreds of gay naturists and guys who like to get naked fill up Key West's clothing-optional gay guesthouses. Featured events include dance parties, foam parties, pool parties, naked shopping, and the playful 'Bad Boys' party. The Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art will take place on the beautiful grounds of University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Over 100,000 patrons visit the Festival to view and purchase art from approximately 250 juried exhibitors from around the US and abroad.

The North American Outgames are a sporting and cultural event hosted by the gay community.
