Web Design/Marketing Intern
Minimum Responsibilities:
>Research and add up-to-date listings and events on www.funmaps.com
>Sales: Collect web traffic statistics and generate reports to assist sales team
Additional Responsibilities:
>Editorial: Create/select/modify graphics/photos using Fireworks or Photoshop
>Assist in web page layout of feature travel stories and editorial sections of site
>Web & Social Networking: Assist in the technical support, web page creation, and
reporting aspects of social networking, which may include but not limited to:
-Update MySpace, Facebook and YouTube corporate profile pages
-Create custom MySpace skins for our social network presence
>Identify emerging opportunities for viral marketing
>Research, create, and implement widgets
>Maintain and grow consumer email list
>Strengthen inbound links; provide media partners with our logo, branded graphics
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
>Majoring (or very strong interest) in MIS, Computer Science, Graphic Design, and/or eMarketing or comparable subject.
>Good writing skills, willing to adapt to growing responsibilities, be organized, be deadline driven, and have the ability to learn quickly and with limited direction.
>Loves technology and has HTML skills and WYSIWYG HTML editors.
>Software skills: Fireworks or Photoshop, Dreamweaver or Frontpage, Word, and Excel.
>Additional skills welcome: Basic video editing experience.
Maplewood, NJ based position.
Some work may be done remotely once trained.
