Recognizing our pioneers... FunMaps celebrates gay history.

To celebrate gay history during the month of October, Equality Forum selectes 31 GLBT leaders, one for each day of the month. They chose individuals living or dead, who have distinguished themselves within their field of endeavor, as national heroes, or in the GLBT civil rights movement.

The goal of GLBT History Month is to teach gay history, to provide inspiring role models, and to highlight important worldwide contributions by gay people. These are just a few of the pioneers highlighted last year and this year. You can find out the complete list of which leaders were chosen and more about them at Equality Forum.

31 Lives. 31 Stories. 31 People.
