They are a great and useful way to plan your next trip online, using the Google Maps interface to make locating everywhere you want to go easy.

There are differences between the two. The free downloadable pdf maps have all the bare bones, need-to-know listings in order to keep the file size managable. Printed versions, the ones you can get mailed to your door, contain event listings, more photos, letters of welcome from city leaders and civic organizations, articles highlighting neighborhoods, and more overview maps.
