Provincetown is set along a sheltered harbor, with a few wharves jutting out from the downtown commercial district.

A main attraction in Provincetown is Cabral Pier, also known as "Fisherman's Wharf."

They Also Faced the Sea is an outdoor art installation of five large portraits of local Portuguese-American women photographed by Norma Holt. They hang strikingly on two sides of the old fish-packing plant on Cabral Pier.
